Compliance Highlight - Wednesday, May 13, 2009
An amendment to a bill impacting the new RESPA regulation has passed the House. The amendment to H.R. 1728 would require HUD to suspend the new RESPA regulation (with the new Good Faith Estimate and HUD–1 Settlement Statement) and work with the Federal Reserve Board to propose a joint rule under TILA and RESPA.
